Internship Search

Just like searching for a full time job is a process, so too is finding your internship. Saying things like “I”ll take anything” is only doing a disservice to you and the companies you’re applying for. Internships are designed to help you explore a career area of interest so that you can build skills and get an idea for the kind of work you would be doing if you were hired on as a full-time employee. The internship search process should be given ample time and commitment in order to be successful. Think about the industries and companies you’re interested in working for in the future and start making connections there ASAP. Find out if they have internship programs and when they do their hiring. You can start conducing research by doing informational interviews as early as Freshman year. Use the resources on this page to start your search sooner rather than later.
