Role Overview:
As a Fundraising and Marketing Associate at Uncharted Philanthropy, you will support our clients and senior strategists by conducting prospect research, assisting with administrative tasks, providing grant writing support, and contributing to various fundraising initiatives. This role plays a crucial part in helping our clients sustain their revenue and make a greater impact in their communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and submission of grant applications, proposals, and stewardship documents.
- Conduct thorough prospect research to identify potential donors, partners, and funding opportunities.
- Provide administrative support to the fundraising team, including data entry, file management, and scheduling.
- Collaborate with senior strategists to develop and execute fundraising strategies tailored to each client’s unique needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of donor interactions, contributions, and fundraising activities for clients.
- Support campaign development efforts by contributing to the creation of campaign strategies, messaging, and creative assets.
- Conduct benchmarking of nonprofit organizations (examine annual report, website, 990 forms) – to compare fundraising structures, revenue, language, etc.
- Assist in crafting cases of support, proposals, and other fundraising collateral for nonprofit clients.
- Attend client meetings, take notes and share follow-up action items.
- Assist in scheduling meetings with client organizations.
Qualifications:
· Two to four years of experience at a consultancy and/or nonprofit sector.
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
· Prior experience in fundraising, grant writing, or nonprofit administration.
