Location: Remote, if Bloomington local, occasional meetings with production team at a local location.
- In the past we have recruited students via the Walter Career Center, Media School and Kelly and referrals from professors and students.
- Past interns have gone on to paid positions with us
- Internship is non-paid, but if shown promise and skill, can likely lead to a paid position with our future projects and/or referrals.
- Interns have received credit hours in the past for their work
- Interns will receive credit online and on podcast end credits
- Internship details:
- Intern must commit 10-25 hours a week, as needed
- Undergrads and Grad Students are welcomed to submit a resume and cover letter to raynowosielski@gmail.com
- Bonus if student beholds a strong interest in social media marketing/creation, public relations, podcast production, journalism, documentary, true crime and political science.
- At the end of internship, students are open to pitch podcast or documentary film ideas to co-produce with True Stories or Double Asterisk or independently with feedback and guidance. For example, materials and research needed for a professional pitch, such as Decks and One Sheets.
- Intern will manage social media ( IG, FB and Tik Tok)
- Create engaging and original content via Canva, IG, Tik Tok platforms
- Write copy for posts and website as needed/ Work with site developer
- Communicate with production team on a timely manner
- Attend weekly and as needed Zoom meetings
- Double Asterisk and True Stories welcome pitches and ideas from interns to improve content and visibility
- Work with SEO professional on social media posts
- Intern will also assist in drafting and sending pitches to local, regional, and national media ( Public Relations)
