Myth of the Perfect Job–What if You Can’t Find “The One?”

There is a lot of pressure on you to find the perfect job—one that relates to all your interests, your strengths, your degree, one that pays well and is in the ideal location. Maybe you’ve never had a full-time job and are trying to launch your career with your dream job. Maybe you spent some time in the work force before coming back to school and want to find the perfect job to “justify” continuing your education. Regardless of the pressures you feel, take some time and give yourself a break. Check out this podcast episode from The Happiness Lab.  It talks about the struggle of finding a job, and different ways to frame your job search. Remember, a job isn’t everything, and sometimes a job  just has to be “good enough” to help you lead a fulfilling life inside and outside of the workplace.
