Latinos Unidos at Indiana University– hereafter referred to as LUIU—is a non-profit, non-partisan and secular organization founded in 1979 for the purpose of: Promoting the identity and unity of Latinx students through intellectual, cultural, and social growth and to increase their visibility and involvement on campus and in community activities. We maintain the name for its historical meaning, acknowledging the struggle and presence of Latinx students that paved the way before us at Indiana University.
