The Forum for International Graduate Students, (FIGS), aims to support international graduate students and scholars during their stay in Bloomington by providing information about living in Bloomington and Indiana in particular and navigating academia in general. We would like to answer miscellaneous questions that new residents regarding: on- and off-campus housing, places of worship, local restaurants, grocery shopping, seasonal shopping, entertainment, transportation in and around town, looking for schools and childcare, academic expectations, ESL support services; job search, writing requirements; help available in the university like the health center, vaccinations, mental health and counseling support (CAPS), the Writing Tutorial Services, and many other related issues.
