Overview: Seagle Festival, the premier opera and musical theater producing
organization in the Adirondack region of upstate New York, is seeking a dynamic and
motivated intern to join our 2025 Summer Festival team.
This internship program is designed to provide college students or recent graduates
with practical experience in arts administration within a performing arts organization.
Interns will play a vital role across the Festival, from running the Theater’s
front-of-house operations during all mainstage events to coordinating volunteers and
supporting donor events.
Seagle Festival celebrates its 110th season in 2025, showcasing exceptionally talented
emerging artists of all backgrounds and identities, presenting four mainstage
productions, a touring children’s show, and several concerts throughout New York’s
North Country and Capital Regions.
Responsibilities:
1. Front-Of-House Operations:
a. Manage Front-Of-House operations and Box Office at all mainstage
events
b. Coordinate special guests or announcements with Stage Management
and Director of Development
c. Engage with audience members before, during, and after each event
2. Volunteer Coordination:
a. Coordinate with Seagle Festival Guild on operational needs and volunteer
schedule throughout the season
b. Help organize and train new volunteers for role protocols or processes
3. Development and Operations:
a. Assist Director of Development at donor-related events
b. Assist General Director and Company Manager in preparing campus
spaces, as needed
Qualifications:
● Passion for vocal music/opera and an interest in the classical music industry
● Strong organizational and communication skills
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team
● Comfort in a fast-paced environment and quick problem solving skills
● Basic understanding of front-of-house management and live theater events
● Familiarity with CRM ticketing systems, like Tix.com
● Experience or interest in volunteer coordination and management
● Ability to do daily work in outdoor weather conditions and uneven terrain
● Ability to move boxes weighing up to 35 lbs between campus buildings

Other Details:
● Seasonal – the posted internship would run from approximately Monday, June
16, 2025 to Sunday, August 24, 2025 [10 weeks]
● In-person – Seagle Festival is located on 32.5 acres of land, approximately 3.5
miles from downtown Schroon Lake, New York
● Housing is provide for the full period, as well as all meals on working days
● Driver’s License and Personal Transportation recommended but not required,
mileage reimbursement is provided for all work related travel done in a personal
vehicle
● Internship credit through an accredited college or university is possible is
possible, if desired
